  •   Chill-out and Get-together

From 21.30 Congress participants can bring the first day of the Congress to a close in an informal "Chill-out and Get-together" with a cocktail bar. The hotel's glass-panelled DomLounge with a view over Berlin's fascinating skyline is the ideal location.

(All welcome! No prior registration required.)

  •   Visit to the Berlin Cathedral

Berlin Cathedral, the largest church in Berlin, is considered a key location of the protestant church in Germany. Every year many thousands of visitors come from far beyond the boundaries of the parish and the city, from other parts of Germany and from other countries. The Imperial Staircase, theHohenzollern Crypt, the Cathedral Museum and, of course, the Sermon Nave with its impressive cupola are all worth a visit. Exclusive guided tour in German and in English.

  •   Special guided walking tour of central Berlin

Come with us through the boroughs of Berlin's historical centre - starting at the Cathedral 'Berliner Dom' via the picturesque and shady park 'Monbijou' - once for royals only. Nearby, the tart-like building of the New Synagoge shows the former pride of the Jewish community. A war-ruined department store was occupied by international artists early in 1990 and became well known as 'Kunsthaus Tacheles'. The area around Schiffbauerdamm and Reinhardtstraße was at the time THE the number one cultural centre of bourgeois Berlin since 1900. A 1940's air-raid shelter houses a museum today. At train station 'Friedrichstraße' we'll find the 'Palace of Tears' - a former border control point from East to West Berlin. Off the beaten path, our return to the Museum island brings us to the area of Berlin's first university 'Humboldt-Universität'. Exclusive guided tour in German and in English.
